Museo di Storia Naturale della Certosa di Calci The museum houses one of the largest cetacean galleries in Europe, with integral whale skeletons, located in a suggestive attic of the former monastery from which you have a view of the surrounding area.
In Collodi you will find the Pinocchio Park inspired by the homonymous book by Carlo Collodi. The Butterfly House - a heated greenhouse in which hundreds of butterflies native to tropical or equatorial areas are free to fly; the Garden of Villa Garzoni - an imposing eighteenth-century green space, full of fountains, statues and water games.
Zoological Garden of Pistoia is a 7-hectare park and about 400 animals. In addition to visiting the park, the staff organizes fun activities such as a snack for the animals, or weekend tales, to learn curious stories of the zoo's animals!
